Local designer Zara Bryson teams up with Melbourne brand Owl of Eden to create a new collection.

WITH a love for statement accessories, Perth’s Zara Bryson of the self-named chic boutique jumped at the chance to team up with innovative Melbourne jewellery house Owl of Eden for a new and luxurious necklace collection.

Bryson shared details with Community about the Terra Luxe winter line comprising 12 intricate pieces and available in both her stores.

“Designs by Owl of Eden (with Louisa Smeeton at the helm) are traditionally colourful and use very daring combinations; we were wanting to go more tonal with the collection because it’s winter and it’s harder to wear knit on colour, so we wanted to pare it back a little and make it more subtle and wearable,” she explained.

“My team and I sat down and worked out what colours we liked and which pieces would match the collections we already have in store.

We discussed lengths and chunkiness, and how we wanted the items to sit on the neck.

“We also culminated all customer feedback we’d received over the last few seasons, giving us insight into what people would want in this assortment.”

The necklaces, ranging from $265 to $335 and appealing to women of all ages, have lavish names such as Midnight Rain, Emerald Kingdom and Crystal Storm to match their dramatic look.

Colours include rust, shiraz, mushroom, Kelly green and cream.

Community asked Bryson about upcoming trends hitting Perth.

“This coming winter season is all about knitwear and leather,” she revealed.

“We’ve got so much knitwear at the moment from chunky to fine-gauge cashmere as well as knitted dresses with leather details. Knits are a really great way to look chic and stay warm, if winter ever gets here!

“We’re using leather in different forms – we have leather leggings and jackets in varying lengths and styles.”

Zara Bryson  is at Claremont Quarter and the 140 William precinct in Perth (pop-up shop).

An online store is coming soon.
