A CLUMSY art-lover damaged a rare Picasso painting after losing her balance and tripping onto the masterpiece.

Sky News reported the woman collided with the $143m century-old work, called The Actor, and caused a 15cm vertical tear in the lower right hand corner.

The accident happened at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, where its experts have been assessing the damage.

The Met said the tear did not affect "the focal point of the composition" and expected the repair, which will take place in the next few weeks, to be "unobtrusive".

Where are our values...How can people put a value of 143 million dollars on some canvas and paint when people worldwide need housing and healthcare???
When God acts to rid the world of wickedness, do you really think these things will be preserved?
