A GROUP of local Little League baseballers have this week been representing Australia in Taiwan as they take on the best Asia-Pacific teams.

Their journey to the Asia-Pacific Regional Championships follows their success at the Australian Little League Championships in May, where they became the first-ever WA team to win the national title.

North Coast Ball Club’s Tama Pihama along with the Wanneroo Giants’ Gyles Baker, Connor Dobson, Byron Armstrong, Jackson Riley and Dawson Summers, are among the Perth Metro North squad of 14.

They are taking on 10 of the best teams in the Asia-Pacific region including South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
