ELLENBROOK teen Chelsea Church has been nominated for the HBF Junior Sports Heroes award in the Inspirational Achievement category for girls.

The 13-year-old is in the state squad at the Burswood Tennis Centre and also plays for the Midland women’s Division 1 team.

In the past months, she has won under-14 tournaments at Hensman, Brixton Street and Kalgoorlie and was also runner-up in Nedlands.

Chelsea trains for three hours a night at Burswood four days a week, has one hour of one-on-one coaching one day a week and plays on weekends.

“It keeps me fit and I have made lots of friends,” she said.

Her ultimate goal is to be selected for the national squad and travel to places all over the world.

“I want to make it on the world tennis circuit,” she said.
