Foreshore robbery

POLICE are still hunting for two for alleged robbers who threatened young women walking along the Shelley foreshore in December.

The victims, 18 and 19, were approaching a wooden jetty on Riverton Drive North at 6pm, on Friday, December 11.

Two girls of a similar age approached them and allegedly threatened them with violence if they did not hand over their mobile phones and purses .

One of the offenders threatened to stab them, moving her hand towards her waistband when the victims did not hand over their belongings.

Police said the girls feared for their safety and handed over their phones and purses before the offenders ran into bush at Riverton Drive North near Zenith Street.

One offender was dark skinned, 19, with a large build, 155cm tall, dyed curly hair tied back in a pony tail, and was wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt and faded denim jeans.

The other had tanned skin, was about 18, slim build, 160cm tall, dyed black hair tied back, black spots on her cheeks and side of neck, and wore a plain black singlet and black shorts.
