Westfield Carousel’s Rebekah Williams checks the heartbeats of Ben Mayne and Katelyn Brown, while Luke McConville, Robert Phelps and Dominique Aliphon await their turn.
QUEENS Park Soccer Club players are set to make music history, recording their heartbeats to be included as part of the official Socceroos’ World Cup team song.
Team members were at Westfield Carousel last week, recording their heartbeats with special digital stethoscopes to add a unique beat to the song, which eventually will be written and performed by Rogue Traders.
Up to 100 heartbeats will then be added to the recording, which will be available online from May 24.
The names of all Australians who donated heartbeats will be published in a commemorative book and officially presented to the Socceroos in South Africa during their 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign.
The song will also be a track on Rogue Traders’ upcoming album, `Night of the Living Drums.
