Remove pushy pests

I WENT to carry out my regular shop last week at the local shopping complex only to be pounced on like an eagle on a lamb by a promo marketing sales representative.

These people are pushy, overbearing and manipulative, and are taking over our car parks. They are telemarketers in the flesh and rarely take no for an answer.

I was lucky enough to escape their clutches unscathed (thanks to my firm and direct husband at my side).

However, I know there are many shoppers, particularly women, who are boycotting this complex to avoid the car park harassment and the possibility of being manipulated into spending hundreds of dollars.

I urge managers of shopping complexes that are subject to these pests to remove these people from their car parks.

We are not in Bali; we do not wish to be harassed every time we go out to buy, buy, buy from these people.

We want to shop in peace.

Hmm! An appropriate word for them would be "Parasites". Belmont Forum has different ones inside their complex every week and I am fed up with them shaking their "can" in my face. I am sure the Complex will be rubbing their hands with glee the rental charges they get from these "Charities". I pity the poor staff in Big W who have to hold one in your face as you walk in and out of the store entrance. When I

I am curious to know which shopping centre you are talking about and what these people are selling?

I agree completely! The only ones that should be allowed are those that remain in one spot, quietly, like the salvos etc. Charity name displayed, we can read, if we want to donate we can and we will. Stop those annoying people in doorways too, asking for donations! Don't ask, harass or try to engage anyone going about their business. It is only the ones that don't bug me that I donate to.
