I AM a 75-year-old pensioner and I would like Colin Barnett to answer one question, if he can spare the time from decorating his new office palace.
I received my gas bill. The power used was $58, but there was a daily supply charge, an administration fee of $3 and now a retail market levy of $1.
Why do we have to pay a supply charge and a usage charge and the retail market levy?
It was reported that the gas and electricity suppliers had $350 million in the bank but obviously that was not enough, so they charged us a retail market levy and supply charge.
Also, charges are to rise again from July 1.
It is all very well for politicians, who get a six-figure salary plus perks, to allow these many increases.
But most pensioners have worked hard all their lives and are now desperately trying to manage on the meagre pension.
Roll on the elections so we pensioners can show what we think.
