On August 14 I set myself a fashion challenge - See blog entry It’s not all Black and White. My challenge was to go somewhere I have never been before and to incorporate colour into my wardrobe that is predominantly black and white with visits from their relatives in cream, grey, charcoal and beige.
As a refresher, here is my summer fashion challenge list.
1. Buy a bold coloured or printed dress
2. Purchase something floral
3. Buy a bright coloured maxi dress (despite being small in stature)
4. Get a coloured handbag
5. Get some coloured shoes
So far I have failed miserably on every front. There is still time and I may move from fail to pass with flying colours.
I have purchased three cream tops since that fateful day on August 14, one grey skirt, one pair of grey pants, a grey top and two pairs of black shoes. I also bought a black, grey and white ring.
It’s not that I haven’t been looking for items to brighten up my wardrobe, it’s just that I am drawn to the ‘other side’ by the forces of black and white.
Watch this space though as I have not given up.
