When we go to the doctor we ring up and make an appointment only to be told that we can't get in for two days. So accepting this, we turn up on the due day and wait about an hour to see them. But this is ok because it's the doctor and we need to see them.

Now over the past few years the kangaroo meat has increased in popularity quite dramatically and is being sought on supermarket shelves all over the country. It is also being sold all over the world being very successful in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and even through England.

I agree that the mining boom does have an impact on hospitality staff but I don't think that it is the complete direct reason of our lack of workers. What people don't seem to realise is that when they go up north they work hard for their money. 12 hour days are quite normal and 14 days straight are common too.
Compare that to a 38 hour week with 2 days off. I could work the.... more »
