Is there really any fun in absolutely wiping yourself out on over-priced booze at a gig costing more than $100 a ticket?
There must be if the antics at a great show featuring American rockers Sheryl Crow and John Mellencamp is anything to go by.

OK, I’m caught in something of a time warp. My apologies if
you weren’t around in the 80s or are still trying to forget this era - I’m
going back there again.

I made the mistake of mentioning to one of my work
colleagues the other day that I was planning to see John Mellencamp when he comes
to town in November. Nothing sinister in that, except I mentioned I also saw
him when he came to Perth
in 1987.

I’m a country bloke who swore he would never live in the
city. Well, here I am in the big smoke now but I’m wishing I was back in the
bush, because I am sick of fearing for my life every time I get behind the

I was stuck at the traffic lights the other day when a hot
Holden Ute rumbled up beside me, its throbbing V8 and big wheels making it very
obvious this was a real bloke’s car. But my initial impression was shattered
