TUCKED away off Nicholson Road is Willow Pond Reception Centre with its sweeping grounds and culinary delights offered by its alfresco dining and indoor restaurant, Ramon’s.
Open for lunch and dinner six days a week, and breakfast at weekends, Ramon’s menu is modern and has been designed for those seeking a fine dining experience without making too much of a dent in the budget.
Dishes include grilled fish of the day served on a bed of kipfler potatoes, semi-sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and herb sauce and Moroccan chicken breast with sweet potato, sauteed silverbeet and beetroot glaze.
The dessert menu is lavish with hot options such as sticky date pudding or rhubarb and apple crumble and there’s also an impressive range of cakes available, along with a variety of decadent high teas.
The grounds feature a giant chess set, Japanese gardens and a pond perfect for a leisurely stroll after dining.
There’s also a museum housed in the main foyer featuring Japanese artefacts including a 700-year-old sword.
Meals are presented creatively, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is cosy.
