IN support of Croatia being nominated as the guest nation for the Perth Royal Show, the four-star International Esplanade Hotel Fremantle is proud to host the Croatian Food Festival from September 24 to October 2.

Supported by the Croatian Consulate, the hotel’s nine-day festival will be held in the picturesque Atrium Garden Restaurant where traditional Croatian dishes will be specially prepared by Croatian guest chef, Tomislav Kraljic.

Friends and families can get together and sample delicious authentic dishes including flavoured mussels buzzara, zagorje soup, sea bass fillet with salted anchovies wrapped in Swiss chard, and the delectable dried fig souffle.

Seafood is popular on the Dalmatian coast and ranges from simple grilled whole fish to traditional ‘brodett’ served over soft polenta.

The coastal cuisine is Mediterranean with many distinct Italian influences, while inland Croatia is full of rich Austro-Hungarian style dishes.

The Atrium Garden Restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, with a complimentary ‘Slivovica’ welcome drink for diners and authentic Croatian wines on offer.

Throughout the buffet festival, diners can enter the draw to win a ‘Very Freo Getaway’ accommodation package.

Tomislav Kraljic boasts many years of experience cooking for European restaurants and has enjoyed a successful award-winning career sharing fine Croatian cuisine.

Experience the rich flavours of Croatia and book on 9432 4000.
